ENCOUNTER is a space where Thurston County middle and high school students can expect to encounter God through worship. Whether you're a skeptic who's never experienced God, or someone who experiences His presence daily, we are expecting His presence to bring peace, hope, joy and freedom that can only be experienced in His presence.

God loves people. He made us to be his family. He made us to be perfect like He is, and to experience His presence every day of our life.

If we're honest, we all have to admit that we've made mistakes that don't line up with God's perfect way. The consequence of this is eternal separation from the presence of God, and being slaves to our own desires.

God loves us so much that He made a plan to rescue us. God put His spirit in a man named Jesus who He called His son. Jesus lived the perfect life you and I were designed to live, and then He died on the cross to pay the consequences of our actions. 

Jesus promises that if we believe His sacrifice has set us free, then we are free indeed. He washes us clean of all of our guilt and shame, he frees us from our slavery to our own selfish desires, and he restores us to right standing with God. God sees us as perfect and his spirit comes and lives in us. Everywhere His people are His presence can be encountered.
