ENCOUNTER is a space where Thurston County middle and high school students can expect to encounter God through worship. Whether you're a skeptic who's never met God or someone who has a solid walk with Him, we are expectant that lives will be changed, and that you will experience breakthrough in faith, hope and joy.

Thousands of years ago in cultures around the world people built altars to worship gods in high places. They were seeking a place where heaven and earth intersected. But when Jesus came He made known that the days of trying to worship on mountains had come to an end. He revealed that we were made to worship God in spirit and truth.

Our great joy as followers of Jesus is that WE have been given the ministry with  power to bring people close to God! (2 Corinthians 5:18–20) We accomplish this by sharing the gospel, giving thanks to God, and trusting His Spirit to do the rest.

Faith is not just a belief. Faith is a gift! It is such a confident assurance that God exists that it completely changes the way you act and live. It is received by hearing the gospel with an open heart.

The truly mind-bogglingly joyful reality of the gospel is that Jesus paid the price for us to not only be set free from the power of sin, but to be made completely new, holy and set apart for His purpose. Complete restoration is available in the presence of God!
